The morning ends with the procession of the police n army transportation contingent including the planes n helicopter.


In the evening...the Merdeka tea party and  prize giving of the winners at the parade.

It was also meant for jamuan rakyat.

His proudest moment to receive the award on behalf of his department....

We were served with delicious jamuan raya n entertained by one of the promising artist Elyana...

It was a proud moment when the patriotic song of merdeka is being sung while everyone's flagging the jalur gemilang!



Gosh! I love my country and i'm proud to be a malaysian....

SALAM AIDIL FITRI

I've been very busy lately with the preparation of the joyous day... Hari Raya Aidil Fitri. So much to do but so little time.

I hope it's not too late tho the wonderful day has been over a week ago...from the bottom of my heart saya ingin mengucapkan Selamat Hari Raya Maaf Zahir Batin jika terlanjur bahasa n perbuatan.

Apart from beading and cooking for iftar i've managed to bake some cookies n planting some flowers just to brighten up the house n add on some new cushions... i must have at least one new item for the house menjelang hari raya...

Like every Hari Raya,the first day will be messy n chaos!! In the early morning after dressing up accordingly off we go to Kuala Kangsar to solat sunat Hari Raya with Duli Yang Teramat Mulia Pemangku Sultan Perak...n the others...

we took only dira n rasyid with us.....

Back from istana...after bersalam-salaman n bermaaf-maafaan with the children we went straight to beraya with my mom in law at my sis in law's place. After spending a few hours there kelam kabut pulak preparing to attend majlis raya at MB's resident.

Next,after packing our bags we put a night at my parents house...beraya disana pulak. Thank god our parents are all in the same town!

As usual on the second or the third day it's always a must having open house for my families....but unfortunately when my hubby's family came to the house i forgot to take any pictures.

On the 5th of Hari Raya my hubby n i went to KL for one night...sempat beraya with my sis iha n hubby's uncle. Oopps! terlupa nak ambil gambar raya with my sis iha...too much of raya stories to talk about!

On the 7th.of raya my niece kak yong, mom, cousin puteri salwa n aunt enda came over. It was quite a surprise when my cousin roza n aunty tut fr.KL brought along a special guest to my house...Tengku Suraya.

Even though i feel a little bit tired n exhausted after receiving guest n visiting families n relatives i'm happy cos this is the only time where we can all meet n get together. 

Alhamdulillah selagi kita masih bernyawa elok lah kita memanjangkan silaratulrahim.It is very sad that on the 3rd n 4th Hari Raya my hubby's uncle n his cousin's wife had passed away.Innalilla.....

I hope we shouldnt be having any ill feelings n grudges with one another for a long period cos we wouldnt know if we have the chance to ask for forgiveness n the chance of celebrating the next Aidil Fitri. Let's be happy n tolerate with each other (even tho sometimes it can be unbearable) hehehe! No lah...gurau je
After all it's the time of giving n forgiving!

SO MUCH WORK BUT TOO LITTLE TIME....

I guess i've not been a sport lately for not updating my blog. I wanted to but i just cant spare the time for i'm trying to finish the beading of my baju kurung. But i give up...i cant just visit n give some comments to others when i've got so much to share with you all...

During this year's Ramadhan,i've not been cooking much variety of food for iftar like i used to. Well maybe there's only the two of my children left n ...i'm so immerse in beading that i just cant think of much food. Only during the weekend je i'll be extra busy in the kitchen cos my house is fill with extra people to dine. Nevertheless during every iftar... there's quite a spread on the dining table!

Besides dira n faiz, we had invited my mom in law n sis in law n family for iftar the first weekend of Ramadhan.

And last week-end my whole family had break fastinq at my dad's house...my sis teh,intan n my uncle n aunty were also there. 

lovely selection of food...everyone seem to contribute something....i brought mix vegy n mee rebus.

These are some of the things that i'm busy with for the past two weeks...my work of beading....Gosh! i still have a few more unfinished baju kurung to bead n... i still have to bake those sweet cookies...n those flowers... i still havent plant them in my garden...raya katakan!

these are only half of it...i'll be showing more.

So much work but too little time...Nowadays time fly very fast n before you know it, it's already about ten more days to celebrate Hari Raya.  Even though i've a maid to help me but when it comes to cooking and making cookies...i will rather let her do the cleaning and tidying up.

IT'S RAMADHAN AL MUBARAK

Assalammualaikum....


It's frusting really to expect that i could fast the full month of Ramadhan this year when umat2 Islam belum mula berpuasa i dah pun beraya!

My angels dira n faiz came back for the weekend to start the beginning of Ramadhan together with us but unfortunately my anak bongsu lukman was unable to come home due to having some monthly test. Poor thing...
whenever i cook some extra or special lauk pauk i always feel sad if any of my kids are not around to enjoy it! Sebak rasanye....

So having many thoughts of what menu to cook on the first day of fasting,i decided to make curry kerapu fish head, rendang udang, kerabu tauge n sup tauhu with fish ball, carrot n brocolli.

the popia basah n the murtabak are fr.the bazaar ramadhan...knowing the kids...they just cant have one or two kueh for berbuka puasa...

And as for the pencuci mulut i make my hubby's favourite bubur kacang n karipap pusing...the recipe which i got from sis iha.

What a challenging task to start the day by making a difficult recipe. Alamak susahnye to get the right dough for this karipap pusing till i've to call sis iha several times for consultation. After a little alteration of here n there...walla! it got me a few container of karipap pusing ( karipap pusing- sedap dimakan sukar  dibuat  ).

And the second day of fasting...another long n tiring task to do...it's pulut panggang. Another long hours of sitting down...i guess i luv stressing myself eh! Tak pe lah selagi my family enjoy eating my air tangan i'm always there at their service...

stressing but  interesting...

The 2nd day of fasting I just add on with some of gulai kicap daging, sup ayam,fried kangkung n goreng tauhu with sambal pecal n tauge.
Dira n faiz went back after i packed them with all the food...

Actually bulan puasa ni we should berjimat n berbanyak beribadat but looks like berpesta makanan pulak! But one thing for sure... semua food tu i masak n none that we buy from any 
warung jual juadah berbuka puasa... ooppps! i lupa...except those kueh that the kids bought in pasar Ramadhan.(tapi semua habis... tak membazir )

Masak..masak jugak ibadat jangan dilupakan...
nanti dapat pahala menahan makan je kan...a good reminder to me and to my friends out there ( if you  dont mind ).

I'M BACK.......

Hi everyone! I'm back... still remember me eh...it's been almost a month since i last wrote. Ever since recovering fr. the fever + flu + cough i was feeling weary n tired n not in the mood for anything. Not only that,this computer that i'm using...i'm sharing it with my son n he had abused it till the early hours n as predictable the plug of the computer had burst. After a long searching finally... my hubby replace it with a new one.


Moreover lately i've been keeping myself busy again with none other than my passion for beading! Almaklumlah Hari Raya is coming n i decide to bead my own baju instead of my tailor n the result turns out to be so much nicer n cheaper of course and i still have 3 unfinished baju to bead....


Let see what have i've been up to a week before the sacred month of Ramadhan....


Well on Thursday 12th of July, i've attended a course of protocol n social ethic organised by biro sosial Puspanita at the MHI Tower Hotel. It was a one day affair from 8.30am-4.30pm.
Our guests of honour were the pengerusi Pusp.herself Datin Nor Hasmah n MB's wife, Datin Seri Sharifah.

the talk was given by Puan Rozita Bt. Rahim fr.(INTAN)

Besides showing us the way of respecting the standard of socialising in a function n society, we were also taught on how to attend a fine dining." A good diner can dine with the king n the pauper". Actually i've attended this kind of seminar before but it's no harm attending again for anything that gives knowledge is worth going.

At the end of the day we were given a sijil penghargaan and a door gift ( a shawl ) for attending the course.


The very next morning we ( hubby n i ) flew to Langkawi. He's suppose to officiate a seminar for his staff. This trip is sort of a week end get away and i've been wanting a holiday for quite some time.


My last trip to Langkawi was about 11 years ago i think n it has change tremendously. Thumbs up for Tun Dr.Mahathir for his effort to change Langkawi... for the better!


There are a lot of interesting places to visit but we only manage to visit the Galeri Perdana...itu pun termengah2 nak berjalan keliling the galeri...phew! it's huge n beautiful or is it the sign of i'm getting heavier...ahaa!

And yg paling interesting to visit is the none other than the shops selling pots n pans, cutlery and of course the pinggan mangkuk!
Here we go again...it's shopping time!


Ya tuhan! murahnye...most of the harga pinggan mangkuk is half the price. Like corelle it's only RM 330 for 20 pieces n at Jaya Jusco is about RM 800- RM 900 plus.
And oohlala... i manage to persuade my darling hubby to buy a Noritake set for 8 person n the price is unbelievable cheaper than at other places. Bila dah dapat benda yg diidam tak payah dah beli benda lain...happy tak terhingga!

We had changed our minds n stayed on for another day.The plane tickets were no longer valid and so we decided to take a ferry instead. Actually i'm a little afraid ( due to past experience ) whenever i have to travel by sea.

Thankfully the journey back home was a lovely sight. Everything was just perfect. The weather was fine and the sea was very calm and everyone on the the ferry was having such a good time while watching a comedy movie!

Just two days before the Ramadhan i was tied up with a bowling tournament organised by Baiduri. The contest was won by Bakat's team but... if it's judged individually the first and the third places were in favour of Puspanita.

Any way it was sort of a friendly game and a get together between Puspanita, Bakat and Baiduri...

So before i end up this very long rambling of my come back...i sincerely would like to wish all the muslims Selamat menyambut bulan Ramadhan yg mulia ini n semoga kita mendapat hidayah n keberkatan...insyallah..AMIN.
