AKTIVITI BIRO WANITA KELAB SUKAN & PUSPANITA

On the 31st.May, i was requested to officiate an activity of the Kelab Sukan Wanita with the cooperation of Puspanita at my hubby's department.

It's a pertandingan masakan (using vegetables such as brinjal , jack fruit & pucuk ubi),ice blended buah- buahan, decorating cup cakes n gubahan kain telekung.

Those were some of the items in the competition.

Tak disangka ada hidden talents yang perlu dicungkil & digilap!

Some of them are very creative indeed!

Before officiating...gave them some moral supports & some words of encouragement to the new faces... to be more exposed to any activities & programs of the department.

And that... wanita boleh!

On special request...with one of the winners...Puan Maznah Khilali.

She was away for an avoidable task during the prize giving & had requested to be taken a  picture with me again.

Being the Pengerusi Puspanita at my hubby's department....i'll be glad to support n participate in whatever activities they have that need my involvement.

ISRAK DAN MIKRAJ

Peristiwa Isra dan Mi'raj Nabi Muhammad s.a.w. terjadi pada 27 Rejab tahun ke-12 dari masa kenabian beliau, merupakan peristiwa penting yang selalu dirayakan setiap tahun oleh seluruh umat Islam. Tarikh ini bersamaan 622 M iaitu ketika Nabi berumur 52 tahun, setahun sebelum Hijrah dari Makkah ke Madinah. Tahun ini juga dikenali sebagai Tahun Dukacita kerana bapa saudaranya Abu Talib dan isterinya Khadijah binti Khuwailid meninggal dunia. Nabi dan anak angkatnya Zaid ibn Harithah diusir dan dibaling batu oleh penduduk Taif sehingga berdarah. Peristiwa Israk Mikraj ini tercatat dalam surah Al-Israa’ ayat 1 (Al-Quran:17:1). Surah An-Najm (al Quran:53:13-18) juga menceritakan peristiwa ini.

Perjalanan selama 3/4 malam sahaja iaitu dari jam 6 malam hingga 6 pagi Nabi kembali semula ke Makkah sebelum terbit fajar. Baginda menunggang Buraq bersama Jibril dari Masjidil Haram ke Masjid Al-Aqsa di Baitulmuqaddis di Israel / Palestin kini. Arah kiblat umat Islam ketika itu ialah Baitulmuqaddis. Selepas peristiwa ini, semasa Nabi tinggal di Madinah, arah kiblat ditukar ke Mekah. Di Tembok Barat masjid, buraq telah ditambat di suatu tempat. Nabi mengerjakan solat dua rokaat di beberapa tempat persinggahan seperti di Madinah, Madyan dan Bukit Thursina. Di Masjid Aqsa, Nabi sembahyang berjemaah dengan makmumnya ialah Nabi Adam, Nabi Musa dan Nabi Isa. Baginda ditawarkan minuman susu atau arak. Tetapi Nabi Muhamad memilih susu sebagai minumannya.

Seterusnya diangkat secara fizikal melalui mikraj (tangga emas dan perak) dari bumi ke langit ke-7 hingga ke Sidratul Muntaha dan bertemu dengan Allah di Arasy. Di Baitul Makmur, Nabi melihat malaikat bertawaf dan moyangnya Nabi Ibrahim bersandar di situ .Wajah Nabi Ibrahim persis wajahnya . Nabi juga 'dibedah' untuk kali kedua. Sebelum ini, semasa kanak-kanak , baginda pernah dibedah oleh dua malaikat semasa di perkampungan ibu susunya Halimahtus Sa'adiah.

Nabi telah bertemu dan bercakap dengan Nabi Ibrahim, Nabi Musa dan Nabi Isa.

Peristiwa luar biasa ini paling penting dalam takwim Islam kerana menandakan seseorang itu Islam atau kufur. Ia sebuah mukjizat dari Allah S.W.T bagi Nabi Muhammad s.a.w. yang tidak pernah dilakukan oleh rasul dan nabi sebelumnya. Hanya Nabi Muhammad s.a.w. sajalah yang diberikan anugerah dan kehormatan oleh Allah S.W.T untuk melakukannya sebagai petanda betapa tingginya penghargaan Allah S.W.T kepada Nabi Muhammad s.a.w.

Dalam perjalanan Isra' mahupun Mikraj seperti tercantum dalam buku 'Muhammad Beraudiensi dengan Tuhan karya Moch. Abdai Rathomy (1983: 53), Nabi Muhammad didampingi Malaikat Jibril dan Mikail menunggang seekor haiwan yang disebut 'Buraq'.

Dalam masyarakat Islam, peristiwa ini tercatat dalam takwim Islam. Umat Islam akan sembahyang sunat. Ceramah khas selalu diadakan bagi mengenang peristiwa tersebut.

Pelbagai peristiwa dilihat[sunting]

Beberapa peristiwa yang terjadi selama Isra' berlangsung memberikan hikmah dan pelajaran yang sangat mendalam bagi Nabi Muhammad s.a.w. serta menjadi cermin bagi umat yang menjadi pengikutnya.

1. Nabi memperoleh pelajaran tentang keadaan masa lalu dan masa yang akan datang yakni saat Jibril menyuruh beliau melakukan solat di Kota Thaibah (Madinah) dimana kelak Nabi akan berhijrah ke kota ini, di Thur Saina (Bukit Thursina), tempat Allah berfirman kepada Nabi Musa, serta di Bethelehem, tempat lahirnya Nabi Isa putera Maryam (Mary).
2. Jibril juga mengajar Nabi bagaimana menghadapi Ifrit dari golongan jin yang mengganggunya dengan memberinya sebuah doa yang harus dibaca Nabi.
3. Mengambil hikmah dari perjuangan seorang Muslimah sejati Masyitah dalam berjihad mempertahankan keyakinannya akan keesaan Allah.
4. Mendapat pelajaran bagaimana akibatnya bagi orang-orang yang enggan solat, enggan berzakat, pemakan riba dan suka berbuat zina. Pengganggu jalan umum, pemimpin yang suka menumpuk-numpuk jabatan dan suka menjelek-jelekan orang lain.
5. Gambaran umat yang terjebaknya dalam kemewahan dunia, perumpamaan umur dunia yang sudah tua, tamsil bermacam-macam minuman yang boleh dan tidak boleh (haram) diminum umat Nabi serta adanya pengakuan para nabi akan keberadaan Nabi Muhammad s.a.w. sebagai pemimpin utama.

Dalam perjalanan Mikraj banyak pula hal yang dialami oleh Nabi Muhammad s.a.w. Namun yang paling penting adalah baginda mendapat keringanan solat fardu dari 50 kali menjadi 5 kali sehari semalam, sebuah kewajiban yang harus dikerjakan umatnya sampai kelak akhir zaman.

A HAPPY DAY FOR MUMS

Hah! what a relieve....beadings...n...the royal wedding had finally done with.

Been very busy lately...just dont have the time to update what's happening!

Puspanita Perak had organised a special evening for all the mums.

Let's give mums a break & i think the Perakian deserve a celebration too!.....

A happy free day from ; taking care of the children... the house chores... feeding the family & being a great companion to the husbands.

So... let's see what we have for them...

The high tea was held at Impiana Hotel & the theme of this year mother's day is kasih ibu kasih sejati.

Besides our ahli....we even sell some tables to other NGOs like Kledang Club...Perkep & Baiduri.

We had invited Dr.Jagdev Singh from General Hospital for a health talk on the importance of taking care of the eyes.

We had also invited our Penaung D.Seri Sharifah Zulkifli as our guest of honour.

Standing ovation for the Negara Ku......

The cutting ceremony of pulut kuning to symbolise the happy day & peace among women!

The decoration of the day was extremely beautiful with orange colours or jingga to brighten up the atmosphere.

A selamat datang dance performed by the dancers of Kumpulan Selendang Perak.

The trio singers from KSP... lovely to the ears...Emotions by Bee Gees (bring fond memories of yesterday)!

D.Hanim (former Timbalan Pengerusi Pusp.Perak) is always at her best reciting sajak... of *ibu*. Hence making everyone having goose-bumps!

MAMA'S CHOCOLATE MARBLE CUP CAKES

Before you know it...we're going to the second week of Rejab...next will be Syaaban...& followed by the holy month of Ramadhan.

And i still havent ganti all my puasa...sigh!

Anyway...i'm fasting... today.
Trying to cover back what had been left....

So...making something sweet for my breakfasting & something to serve for tea.

And since my mum in law is around...i think she'll love that for sure!

What i had made... a recipe of my Mama.
Actually it's a plain cake but i turn it into cup cakes to make it interesting!
Ya...i know...it's always cakes....hehehe!

Being orang lama...all her recipes are not in grams or litres.
She measures them in cups n she has this notion of measuring ikut rasa aje... n walla... the end result of her cooking is surprisingly superb!

But this cup cake is really very simple...

I'll try to post some of her wonderful traditional cooking sometime in the near future.

The r.e.c.i.p.e.

Mama's chocolate marble cup cakes

3 cups self raising flour

1 1/2 cup castor sugar

1 1/2 cup butter

5 eggs ( 2 whole eggs & 3 egg yolks)

1 1/2 tsp essence of vanilla

1 cup evaporated milk

3 tlbs cocoa powder

grated 1 orange zest

Method

1.Beat butter & sugar until it turned to 

  almost pale.

2.Put in the eggs one by one.

3.Add in the flour, vanilla essence, milk & 

  orange zest.

4.When the mixture is thoroughly mix,divide 

  the mixture. Add cocoa powder to one 

  of it.

5.Spoon the two mixture alternately into the 

  paper cups.

6.Bake @ 170-180c till the dough will not 

  stick to the tooth pick when inserted.

7.Cool the cup cakes on the wire rack.

Soft to the touch delicious to be eaten....

MY GARDEN

It's been awhile since i've been with my plants n flowers.

Been very busy lately with the beading that had taken so much of my time...
Phew!....it's killing my eyes...

However to be out in the garden will always make me feel so fresh n...alive!!

Gardening is one of my hobbies....it helps me to sweat out n makes me see some lovely colours around me!

And it's a good way to be away from the needles and...the computer...

I always dream of having trees like in the movie 'Mamamia'.

The part where the young couples are suppose to be married and the wedding reception was done under some fully decorated shady trees with blooming flowers....

Though i know it's not even close to it but well it could have the slight resemblance....(in my dreams).

I have just trimmed the bougainville...hoping that it will grow even bigger n....many more flowers to bloom.

I love lilies....they have this sweet n pleasant fragrance.

 

My lovely hydrangeas are forever flowering...

Sangat selesa dgn keadaan sekeliling agaknya...

Some of my orchids....i'm not so good at remembering their names unlike my sis teh...she seem to know each n everyone!

I wanted so much a water feature in my garden....but ahh!...a smaller version of an ornamental water feature will do just fine!

I have a few species of green fern...
Love them...it's cooling to the eyes.
Looks like some of them sudah tua.... n need to be changed.

Some of my begonias or assam batu...

Adding some red soils n fertiliser to my rose corner...hoping it will bear more flowers.

My hubby's favourite...palm trees.

They have grown so much for the past six years!

Just cant wait for my kemboja to grow to a bigger tree where i can put a chair or two under it....sipping a cup of tea n enjoying a piece of my heavenly chocolate cake....huhu!

I love to display plants in the house...
N...ivy is one of my favourite.

At one corner behind the house...a home grown bunga kantan...pandan leaves...daun limau purut...sour sop...promeganate n herbs like rosemary n basil.

I'll always feel calm n at peace each time i look at the matured casuarinas.

Initially my hubby was against on planting the trees due to the roots....but....
Look!...they are just so perfect!

Though we have this unbearable heat most time in the year....we have to think of how n what to plant n make the best out of it!

What makes my garden...the work of my own bare hands n...of course with the little help from my ever willing maid sri.
