When the children... (dira n rasyid) are still here till end of the week...mama will try to be creative with her cooking.
I love it!..the children love it!.. but... the father....not quite his cup of tea.
He loves spaghetti bolognese of course...but not macaroni...too bad!
But he tasted a little bit...just to please me...
Though it's my first attempt...the macaroni is superbly done!...it's like i've been baking it for ages! (angkat bakul sendiri ) he!he!he!
I love baking it in the melayu version(spreading fried onions, some red chillies, onions n parsley leaves )...but at the same time i do spread some cheese on top of it...just like; when east meet west.
Baked Macaroni/ Makaroni Bakar
350g elbow macaroni (boil n toss it)
300g mince meat
1-2 big onions minced to tiny pieces
2-3 cloves of garlic
4 tlbs of meat curry powder
1 tlbs of kurma curry powder
1 tsp sugar
salt to taste
little bit of oil
2 tlbs of butter
3/4- 1cup evaporated milk
1/2 cup grated mozarella cheese
Fried the onions n garlic till slightly brown... add in the curry powder n minced meat.When the meat is cooked pour in the macaroni,sugar n salt to taste.
Meanwhile...beat the eggs n combine with the milk.
Next mixed in the eggs n milk to the filling. Let it settle for awhile then spread some cheese on top of it. Bake at 180c for 30-40 mins.
